Following extensive research into the international medical tourism sector, it became increasingly clear that combining medical treatment with a holiday can introduce unnecessary risks.

Over several years working within the overseas surgery sector, we identified significant gaps in the information, guidance and aftercare available to patients considering treatment abroad.

For this reason, DSA works exclusively with overseas dental clinics that have been formally approved by UKODA (the United Kingdom Overseas Dental Alliance). This process provides assurance that each clinic has undergone a detailed and independent inspection to assess its clinical standards, operational procedures, patient care protocols and commitment to ongoing quality assurance.
In collaboration with UKODA and relevant tourism and healthcare bodies in each participating country, approved clinics are required to demonstrate that they meet — and in many cases exceed — the standards of care expected by patients from the United Kingdom.
This rigorous assessment process is designed to remove much of the uncertainty associated with seeking treatment overseas. It enables patients to make decisions based on objective standards rather than marketing claims alone.
